If you are a degree student at the University of Helsinki, we can help you in matters concerning studies abroad and traineeships abroad as well as flexible study rights (JOO) for degree students.

Consulting hours

During your exchange or degree studies, you can book an appointment with International Exchange Services and Education Cooperation or just drop in during our office hours. Please find our drop-in service hours below. 

If you are a degree student at the University of Helsinki and need help with choosing an exchange destination, please participate in a How to choose an exchange destination -event. If you already have chosen your destination but need help with your application, please come to one of our Application clinics.

Services during the Holiday Season in December 2024 & January 2025

Our services will be closed from December 21 to December 29, 2024. You can reach us by email and phone starting from December 30. 
Drop-in and online receptions will be closed from December 21, 2024, to January 12, 2025.

Online Drop-In sessions for incoming exchange applicants

There will be online support sessions for incoming exchange applicants for questions related to applications in the Mobility Online system during the next application period. Please find more information on the dates and times on the webpage How to apply as an Exchange Student.

Book an appointment

If you want to have a longer discussion during your exchange or degree studies, you can book an individual appointment to International Exchange Services and Education Cooperation. When you book an appointment, please let us know what you want to discuss, so that we can prepare for the meeting. Please book your appointment by selecting your study programme. The appointments are arranged online (Zoom). Please select "International exchange services e-counselling session" from the list to book an online appointment. You will receive the meeting link immediately after making the reservation by e-mail and by SMS.

When sending an e-mail please mention in the subject line which faculty you are studying at and what is your question about. If you wish to direct your message to a specific specialist you can also mention that person's name in the subject line (you will find the list of contact persons below).
