On this page you find information about old degree structures and equivalence tables. This guide is for students at the Faculty of Social Sciences who have started their studies before 1.8.2017. For general information about the Degree reform at the University of Helsinki, visit the page Instructions for those who have transferred to new degree programmes.

Please note that the Master’s degree students of Statistics or Bachelor and Master’s degree students of administration and organisations under political science have the right to complete their degrees in accordance with the 2016–2017 degree requirements until 31.7.2023. Old degree structures and equivalence tables

Please note that all teaching is fulfilled according to the new degree programmes from 1.8.2017. To continue your studies, you must draw up a study plan, indicating which studies are still missing from your degree and which current courses based on the new degree system correspond to the studies you have not yet completed.

Below you'll find the equivalence tables for which studies in the old degree programmes equal those in the new programmes. More detailed course descriptions, study guides and teaching schedules are found in Sisu and on the page Curriculum and Equivalence between curriculums.
