Child care service Little HYY

Are you a student as well as a parent? Do you occasionally need child care help, for example, during a lecture or examination? The University of Helsinki’s Student Union (HYY) has a child care service, Little HYY, which provides temporary child care service for HYY members, both on an occasional and regular basis. Combining studies with family life can be very challenging, but help is available. If you read Finnish, you should visit the resources provided by HYY, the Family Federation of Finland and the National Union of University Students in Finland as well as the other useful links here.

 

Do you need legal assistance?

As a member of HYY you are entitled to the free legal assistance service operated by Pykälä ry, the association of law students. The service provides legal assistance in person, by phone and via email.

The Ylioppilaslehti and the student calendar

The Ylioppilaslehti is among the world’s oldest student magazines. It is also one of the most widely-read Finnish-language student magazines and, as a member of HYY, Ylioppilaslehti will be delivered to your home. The Swedish-language student magazine, Studentbladet, is available for Swedish-speaking students.

The student calendar is free for all HYY members. The calendars are distributed at the beginning of each academic year, but you can also pick up your calendar from the HYY customer service office at any time.
