You can log in to Moodle with your University of Helsinki username by clicking on the Moodle button on the relevant course page. The button will appear on the course page and the learning environment will open no later than when the course begins. Information on the opening date can be found on the course page.
Once the Moodle is open to students, you can also find it in your Moodle Dashboard.
Some courses use a course key which you need when you first log in to the course area in Moodle. Information on the course key can be found on the course page.
You will be able to log into the course Moodle space with your user account sometime within 1 to 24 hours after your course enrollment or user account activation.
When the course has no course key:
-
Click on the Moodle button on the course page or go to Moodle Dashboard
-
Log in with your University of Helsinki username and password.
When the course has a course key:
-
First log in to the course page with your University of Helsinki username and password.
-
You will then see the course key under the Moodle button.
-
Copy the course key, click on the Moodle link and register in the course area by entering the course key.
-
You will not need the course key when you log in later, but can instead log in to Moodle directly, for example, by clicking on the Moodle link on the course page.
You will receive a University of Helsinki user account in connection with your enrolment. The username will not be sent to you separately, but rather you will gain access to it by activating your user account well before your studies are due to begin.
