The study fee is 100 € per ECTS, 6000 EUR for the M.Sc. graduates in Pharm. and 4000 EUR for the B. Sc. graduates in Pharm. The study fee is paid in instalments (tuition fee) during normative duration of studies. The instalments are paid in different situations as follows:
When the student pays tuition fees
Students who pay their own tuition fees will have to pay the instalments in the University of Helsinki's online payment service. Tuition fees must be paid twice a year, by 31 January and 31 July. You can pay the fee by selecting your programme from the University of Helsinki's online payment service link in the list below.

When the employer pays tuition fees
The University of Helsinki invoices the employers twice a year, in January and July-August.
When tuition fees are split between the student and the employer
The employer pays every other instalment and the student pays every other instalment:
- the student pays the instalment in the University of Helsinki's online payment service (see instructions and links above)
- the University of Helsinki will invoice the employer for the instalment (invoicing month January or July-August)
- from the autumn term 2024 (applies only to students who have started their studies in 2024 or later), the invoice for the first instalment of tuition fees is sent to the employer
If there is another payment plan for the tuition fees (only applies to students who have started their studies before 2024):
- the University of Helsinki will invoice the student and the employer for the instalments as agreed (invoicing months January and July-August)
Possible exceptional tuition fee amounts
Exceptional amounts of tuition fees may be due, eg. for recognition of prior learning through credit transfer. The University of Helsinki will invoice the student and/or the employer for the instalments (invoicing months January and July-August). Recognition of prior learning is only taken into account for the last instalment of tuition fees.
Tuition fees and graduation
Tuition fees must be paid in full before a certificate can be issued. Students must request a final invoice for the remaining payments if they graduate before the normative period of study.
