This accessibility report applies to the University of Helsinki IT Security Test service and has been prepared on 19 January 2022 and updated on 13 July 2023.   • Inaccessible content and its deficiencies: On the Instructions for Students -website and on the Moodle dashboard, some page elements, such as the search box, do not scale to the font size in the Android/Chrome configuration. The arrow link does not fit in the frame in the desktop version, Android and iOS devices in all browsers, in both positions.
  • Accessibility requirements that are not met: 1.4.10 Responsiveness

Perceivable: The image lacks an alternative text

Perceivable: Decorative images

  • Inaccessible content and its deficiencies: The service contains has so-called decorative images that have not been hidden from the screen reader. The decorative image on the Moodle-page University of Helsinki IT security test 2023-2024 (students) has not been hidden from the screen reader.
  • Accessibility requirements that are not met: 1.1.1 Non-textual content

Perceivable: Inaccurate headings 

  • Inaccessible content and its deficiencies: The heading method used on the pages does not in all views comply with the requirements of the WCAG accessibility standard for hierarchy and logic. There is an empty H3 level heading in the code. The next heading is a H5 level heading, therefore a H4 level heading is missing.

Perceivable: Invalid focus location

  • Inaccessible content and its deficiencies: When trying to access to the next question page, the focus remains on the "Next Question" button. This causes a problem where the user thinks that the operation was not performed or that the operation is not successful. Only when the user manually moves the focus to the top of the page and begins navigating  the page in the navigation order does they notice that the content has been updated.

  • Inaccessible content and its deficiencies: The question’s radio button group is missing fieldset and legend tags.

  • Inaccessible content and its deficiencies: Moodle login page is missing a jump link that allows a screen reader user to skip at the beginning of each page.
  • Accessibility requirements that are not met:  2.4.1 Bypass blocks

Reliable: Incompletely named buttons

  • Inaccessible content and its deficiencies: The service has buttons whose operation is not clearly described to the user of the screen reader. On the page Take the information security test here when adding a course, a new modal window on “activities” opens. The window close button is incompletely named "Close” for the Finnish users.
