Doctoral studies at other Finnish universities (JOO)
Students at Finnish universities may apply for a fixed-term right to pursue studies at another Finnish university. Read more about JOO-studies here.
Attendance registration of doctoral researchers
All degree students must register as attending or non-attending for each academic year, regardless of whether they are pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or doctoral degree.
Annual follow-up of doctoral study progress
The progress of the doctoral thesis work and the related studies are followed annually. The aim of annual reporting and the concomitant thesis committee meeting is to support and promote the progress of the doctoral dissertation and the studies as well as the completion of the degree.
Resuming doctoral studies
Have you taken a break from your studies? Did you forget to register for the academic year? If you have interrupted your studies or failed to register for the academic year annually, you must apply for the reinstatement of your right to pursue doctoral studies.
Forfeiture of study right
The notification of forfeiture is binding and final.
