The Doctoral School opens a call for over a hundred university-funded doctoral researcher positions in August
The University of Helsinki Doctoral School (UHDS) will organise an annual call for applications for university-funded doctoral researcher positions from 27 August to 9 September 2024. This year there are more than 100 positions to be filled.
On 27 August, the Doctoral School will open the annual call for applications for university-funded doctoral researcher positions. More than 100 four-year doctoral researcher positions are available in the university's doctoral programmes.
The Doctoral School has revised the guidelines for the application process and the new application instructions can be found on the Instructions for students website. Applicants should carefully read both the general and programme-specific guidelines. The guidelines also describe the assessment criteria and processes.
For this year's application, applicants should, as a rule, have at least one supervisor assigned to them at the application stage. It is advisable to start preparing a research plan with a supervisor well in advance of the application.
Application decisions will be published in November-December. The Doctoral School will publish the names of those selected on its website.
