Final Call: Applications for the Journeys Programme Close This Sunday 9 August

Hi there! This is the final reminder that applications for Journeys, the University of Helsinki's entrepreneurship programme open to all fields, close this Sunday, 9 August, at 23:59 (Helsinki time).

As summer slowly gives way to a new academic year, it's a good moment to think about what you'd like to spend the autumn building.

If you've been wondering whether Journeys is for you, here's an introduction to the programme. You don't need a business degree, a polished pitch deck, or years of startup experience. You just need an idea you're curious enough to explore. That idea could come from your research, a side project, a problem you've noticed, or a community you'd like to make stronger.

One thing we hear again and again from our alumni is that they didn't just leave with a more developed idea: they left with people they could lean on. Building something is easier when you're surrounded by others doing the same. Add to that mentoring, workshops, and a co-working space in the city centre campus, and you have four months designed to help you move from "what if?" to "what's next?"

The programme runs from 31 August to 10 December. You'll begin with a one-month bootcamp, then continue in one of three tracks: Deep Tech & AI, Sustainability & Nature, or Social Impact. Along the way, you'll work with experienced mentors, connect with founders and industry experts, and learn by testing, refining, and improving your ideas in practice.

Since 2022, nearly 500 teams have joined our programmes, representing everything from scientific research and emerging technologies to sustainability initiatives and social ventures.

If you're a student or doctoral researcher, you can also earn up to 8 ECTS credits through your participation.
