Have you already found the independent study facilities on campus?

Online and on-site teaching on the same day? All our campuses have facilities you can use to participate in remote teaching, do group work, or work independently in between lectures.

Check out these, for example:

City Centre Campus

Unicafe facilities at Topelia and Metsätalo can also be used for independent study outside the restaurants' opening hours.

In addition to these, the University Library has put together tips on other good study places at and close by to the City Centre Campus.

Kumpula

Meilahti

Unicafe facilities at the Haartman Institute (Meilahti) can also be used for independent study outside the restaurants' opening hours.

Teaching facilities & building lobbies

When needed, you can also use some of the teaching facilities at the campuses for independent study when they are not booked for teaching or other activities. Ask the building porter about available spaces. Please note that you might not be the only student using the facility. If needed, agree together on basic ground rules.

You can also make use of building lobbies. All suitable lobbies can be used for studying at times when they're not reserved for other use.

Read more about the different spaces on the instruction page Learning facilities and find your own corner!

Need a laptop?

Our IT Centre's Laptop Lender service is available on all campuses. From the lender, you can borrow a laptop for just a few hours or the whole day. Visit the IT Helpdesk website for instructions on how to use the Laptop Lender service.
