Help the University calculate its carbon footprint: Take a survey on commuting
The University’s annual carbon footprint calculation accounts for commuting as well. Information will be collected via a survey that takes just one or two minutes to complete.
The University of Helsinki calculates its carbon footprint every year. Commuting to and from the University for work or study is factored into this calculation.
Recognising the difficulty of assessing the carbon footprint of commuting of an organisation of the University’s size, it was decided that a survey would be the most suitable method.
The survey was designed to be quick and easy, taking just one or two minutes to complete. Its only purpose is to gather data for calculating the University’s carbon footprint; no personal details will be collected.
The more responses the University receives, the more accurate an assessment it can make of the climate impact of commuting. To provide a full overview of all types of travel, pedestrians and cyclists too should respond.
The survey isopen from 24 February to 17 March 2025.
