Are you graduating this spring? Or are you currently working on your second or even third degree at the University of Helsinki? Once you have completed your degree, you are warmly welcome to join the University's alumni community!

Helsinki Alumni is Finland's largest expert community with over 54,000 members. As a member of the community, you receive support in developing your expertise, you can network across disciplines with other alumni, and take advantage of alumni benefits such as discounts on Unisport services and HY+ educational offerings.

University alumni include all who have completed a degree with us, exchange students, as well as current and former employees. After completing a bachelor's degree, you can already join the free alumni community. If you are doing an internship or working at the University, you are also warmly welcome to join us. If you are an exchange student, you can already join the community while you are studying with us!

If you haven't graduated yet, you can join immediately after your graduation by checking the following permission box in Sisu: Free-of-charge alumni register, after my graduation. Then, you will automatically be added to the alumni community after graduation and we will send you a confirmation message.

For newly graduated alumni: finding your direction in life

We offer support for newly graduated alumni in finding their own path and career planning. Every year, we offer a concept called Think Forward, which focuses on life and career planning from a design thinking perspective. Think Forward includes two lecture recordings and two workshops that we hold every spring.

The lecture recordings introduce the philosophy of design thinking and the tools associated with it. In the workshops, you can delve into the design of your own life together with other alumni. The workshops are intended for alumni who have graduated within the past five years.
