Kela awards a prize for a meritorious Master's thesis on social security – Apply for the prize by 31.3.2025

The prize is open to a thesis on social security approved in 2024. The prize is worth €2,000.

Kela will award the prize to a meritorious Master's thesis. The deadline for applying for the prize is 31.3.2025.

The Kela thesis prize is awarded to a scientifically high-quality Master's thesis on a topic of interest to social security.

Social security is studied in a wide range of disciplines and degree programmes. The thesis is therefore not restricted to a specific discipline, but must deal with the social security system.

Nominations for the prize can be made by the supervisor, the examiner or the author of the thesis. The thesis must have been approved during 2024.

Nominations for the prize should be sent by e-mail to gradupalkinto@kela.fi by 31.3.2025 at the latest. Please attach the thesis (pdf or link) and its evaluation to the nomination.
