Bulletin 28.8.2024

Welcome, new degree student! The Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS, sometimes also referred to as YTHS which comes from its Finnish name Ylioppilaiden terveydenhoitosäätiö) is the go-to place for students’ healthcare needs in all situations besides an emergency.

FSHS offers general, dental, and mental health services for undergraduate and graduate degree students at the University of Helsinki and other Finnish universities.

FSHS has collected new students an information package on their most important services. The material consists of texts, links and videos. Visit the FSHS website to check out the info package and get to know their services already today!

Please note that FSHS services are only available for students completing an undergraduate or graduate degree at a Finnish university. Doctoral researchers and exchange students studying at the University of Helsinki are not entitled to FSHS services. Information on other services to support student well-being are available in the Studies Service instruction themes on Healthcare and well-being and Well-being and communality for doctoral researchers.
