Entirely new implementation

In the third period, the course Academic Communication Competence (KK-AIAKVU1OP) will be organised in a new form as a conference. On the course, you will work independently in Moodle and attend the conference on Friday, 6 February 2026 from 10.00 to 16.00.

Communication competence is a central part of professional skills. The course will give you the chance to delve into an interaction-related theme of your choice and examine your notion of yourself as a communicator through interaction research. You will have the opportunity to explore

Phenomena associated with interaction
Communication skills needed in professional life
How to interact more effectively and appropriately
How to consciously develop your communication skills

Conference content

The conference is a joint event for the entire course group, including keynote speeches by teachers. Students will work in small groups on themes related to interaction.

The course includes students from the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Educational Sciences, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Medicine. At the conference, you’ll get to meet students from a variety of fields and network.
