Registration Now Open For Graduation Ceremony!

Dear newly graduated or student about to graduate during the autumn term 2025, you are warmly welcome to attend the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Educational sciences on Tuesday the 9th of December at 16.00-18.00. The ceremony takes place in the Great Hall of Helsinki University main building (Fabianinkatu 33).  

To participate in the graduation ceremony you need to register in advance the electronic form is open between 20.10.2025-23.11.2025.

The program includes the dean's speech to the newly graduated, rose distribution, Comenius Oath for newly graduated teachers, the graduate’s speech, a musical performance, and sparkling wine is served after the ceremony is over. Diplomas are not distributed at the ceremony. Each graduate can invite a maximum of 2 guests. The ceremony will be streamed but not recorded.  

Graduates can book a portrait photography session at their own expense. (Booking happens through a link that will be sent separately). 

You can register for and participate in the graduation ceremony if you have completed all your studies before the end of the autumn term, even though you are still waiting for them to be registered in Sisu and therefore have not been able to hand in your graduation request yet.  

The Faculty of Educational sciences organizes a joint graduation ceremony twice a year, one in December and one in June. You can participate in the ceremony if you graduate during the semester in question.   

The dress code is smart casual.
