Support for studies!

Have you already found the Support for Studies page in the Instructions for Students? If not, now is a great time to check it out – the page contains tips and materials collected by our study psychologist to help you tackle issues such as motivation and time management skills. 

If, on the other hand, you are thinking about issues related to your future, such as your skills, strengths, motivation, choices, or perhaps you feel uncertain about everything that lies ahead, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the self-study material prepared by career counsellors.

At the end of autumn, you can also join a group that supports your writing. Please also note that the Finnish-language Support for Studies workshop meeting on November 11 will be held in English. The theme will be "How to Maintain Concentration While Studying." You can read more about these below or on page called Groups and courses to support ability to study and career planning.

Get Unstuck with Writing (joint implementation with Finnish language “Kirjoittamisen karikoita” small group) 

Schedule: five group meetings are held on Thursdays from 13:15 to 15:00 between 6 November and 18 December 
Location: City Centre Campus 
Target group: Bachelor’s and Master’s students at University of Helsinki 
Registration: Register for the group via the E-lomake 

In the "Get unstuck with writing" small group, the focus is on advancing your thesis or other demanding writing tasks together with fellow students. The goal of the group is to provide support from both study psychologists and other participants to help you progress in your writing process. The group meetings will include peer discussions, exploration of thoughts and feelings related to your thesis or other writing tasks, practice of different working methods, and advancement of your writing work.
