Are you currently writing a thesis or planning to start it? Welcome to the Thesis Festival on Wednesday 19 March from 1PM to 7PM at 7th floor of the Kaisa House, where you will receive tips and support for your thesis.
All bachelor’s and master’s students as well as others interested in writing a thesis are welcome – including doctoral researchers and teaching staff. The event is suited to all campuses of the University of Helsinki. No pre-registration, just show up! Most of the presentations and workshops are in Finnish but you can ask for guidance in English and Swedish as well.
Workshop in English: What happens after the thesis?

The thesis phase might be a critical point in your studies. At the same time as you are writing your thesis you need to consider the future: the transition from the university to next phase of your life - including job hunting. Your identity is inevitably changing. How to balance all this in everyday life while progressing with the thesis?
Personal advice
The information and advice desks are available on the 7th floor of Kaisa House throughout the event. English teachers from the Language Centre will be available for walk-in writing consultations - bring a text that you are working on, or any writing-related questions you may have!
Break exercise
Change the brain fog to forehead sweat or take a refreshing break. UniSport’s self-access point is available to you on the 7th floor of Kaisa House throughout the event.
