What does November’s midterm election reveal about the state of US society and the changing parties? Which issues could decide the outcome, and can the electoral system withstand political pressure? Follow the discussion at Think Corner or online on Tuesday 20 October, from 5 pm to 6.30 pm.

The discussion features Professor of Economic History Jari Eloranta, Professor of North American Studies Benita Heiskanen and Professor of American Studies Mikko Saikku. MTV News US correspondent Mari Karppinen will join remotely. The discussion will be moderated by Janne Hopsu, foreign affairs journalist at MTV News.

The event is organised by the University of Helsinki in collaboration with MTV News.
