What’s Happening in Finnish Schools? – Join the Discussion at Think Corner on May 6th

Koululuokka, jossa vihreä liitutaulu ja pöytiä ja tuoleja.
Bulletin 29.4.2025

Finland's declining learning outcomes have sparked national concern. What’s behind the drop in PISA scores? How do factors like digitalization, inclusion, and student well-being play a role? What kind of school ensures all students, regardless of background, acquire essential skills and thrive?

Experts Lauri Hietajärvi and Markku Jahnukainen from the University of Helsinki, along with Leea Lakka from the University of Turku, will discuss the current state of Finnish education. The discussion will be moderated by MTV Uutiset journalist Katariina Kähkönen

The event is organized by the University of Helsinki in collaboration with MTV Uutiset.

Join us at Think Corner on Tuesday May 6th, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM, or you can follow the live stream.

Street address: Think Corner, Yliopistonkatu 4, Helsinki. The discussion will be held in Finnish. For more information, visit the website (in Finnish)
