The purpose of the trial period is to assess the suitability of specialising physicians and dentists to the specialty. A passing grade for the trial period is a requirement for receiving the final study right. During the trial period, the development of specialising physicians’ and dentists’ skills and their motivation are monitored with the help of a structured assessment form. The assessment is carried out in accordance with predetermined learning outcomes that have been announced to the specialising physicians and dentists.
