Maantieteen kandiohjelma

  • MAA-110 Maantieteen perusopinnot (25 op) ovat HY:n tutkinto-opiskelijoille vapaasti suoritettavissa.
  • MAA-210 Maantieteen aineopinnot muille koulutusohjelmille (35 op)​​​​​​
    • Maantieteen aineopintokokonaisuutta MAA-210 (35 op) otetaan vuosittain suorittamaan enintään 10 perustutkinto-opiskelijaa muista Helsingin yliopiston koulutusohjelmista.
    • Haku on avoinna 8.4.2024 - 29.4.2024, haku e-lomakkeella.
    • Hakijalla tulee olla suoritettuna maantieteen perusopintokokonaisuus MAA-110 (25 op) vähintään arvosanalla 3/5 (opintojaksojen opintopistemäärällä painotettu ka) hakuajan päättymiseen mennessä.
    • Kokonaisuuden lisäksi valinnassa voidaan ottaa huomioon myös mahdollisia muita maantieteen opintoja.
    • Maantieteen aineopinto-oikeuksista päätetään maantieteen kandiohjelman johtoryhmässä ja hyväksytyille ilmoitetaan opinto-oikeudesta viikolla 19. Opinto-oikeus alkaa 1.8.2024.
    • Maantieteen aineopinnot muille koulutusohjelmille (MAA-210) koostuu seitsemästä 5 op:n kurssista:
      • MAA-201 Tiedon esittäminen maantieteessä, 5 op
      • MAA-202 Geoinformatiikan menetelmät 1, 5 op
      • MAA-203 Maantieteen menetelmät, 5 op
      • MAA-204 Maantieteen tutkimusprojektikurssi, 5 op
      • MAA-205 Maantieteen kenttäkurssi, 5 op
      • MAA-206 Ihmismaantieteen kirjatentti, 5 op
      • MAA-207 Luonnonmaantieteen kirjatentti, 5 op

 

  • GIS-210 Geoinformatiikan opintokokonaisuus muille koulutusohjelmille (25 op)
    • Geoinformatiikan opintokokonaisuutta GIS-210 (25 op) otetaan vuosittain suorittamaan maksimissaan 10 opiskelijaa muista koulutusohjelmista.
    • Valinta perustuu MAA-104 Johdatus geoinformatiikkaan maantieteessä -kurssin arvosanaan tai muun vastaavan geoinformatiikan peruskurssin arvosanaan. Valinnassa voidaan ottaa huomioon myös mahdolliset muut aiemmat geoinformatiikan opinnot.
    • Hakuaika 13.12.2024-6.1.2025, haku e-lomakkeella
    • Opinto-oikeudesta ilmoitetaan viimeistään torstaina 9.1.2025.

Bachelor's Programme in Mathematical Sciences

Subject teacher students taking mathematics/physics/chemistry as their second teaching subject must complete the basic and subject studies according to the requirements of the Bachelor’s Programme for Teachers of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (mathematics/physics/chemistry as a second teaching subject). You can find these study modules under the heading Bachelor’s Programme for Teachers of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

The majority of contact teaching in the Bachelor's Programme in Mathematical Sciences is offered in Finnish, but some study units are also taught regularly in Swedish and English. Exams may generally be completed in Finnish/Swedish/English regardless of the teaching language.

The mathematics study modules mentioned in the list below are not suitable for the students of the Bachelor's Programme in Mathematical Sciences. The course selection of these study modules is available in other study modules in the programme's degree structure.
The statistics study modules mentioned in the list below are, however, suitable for the students of the mathematics and computer science study tracks of the Bachelor's Programme in Mathematical Sciences as a second subject.
