The National Library of Finland’s 2024 Cultural Partners’ concerts for year 2024 will be kick-started by The Mystic Revelation of Teppo Repo band. Concert is free of charge and takes place in the Cupola Hall on 23rd May at 7 p.m. The band's album “Ikivihreät”. was released on April 19th, and at the beginning of the evening, the album's origin story is heard live from the band itself. The evening is hosted by Tuomas Palonen and culminates in an hour-long concert.

The Mystic Revelation of Teppo Repo is a unique and interesting band (Otto Eskelinen, Arwi Lind, Eero Tikkanen) with Finno-Ugric traditions, shamanistic and archaic sound, jazz and folk music. At the gigs, the meditative and intuitive atmosphere becomes an experience, and each gig is different from the previous ones. The band's instruments include, for example, log builder Paavo Eskelinen's log instruments and wood flutes made by Otto Eskelinen himself. The Mystic Revelation of Teppo Repo also performs actively as Joose Keskitalo's warm-up band. In the spring of 2024, The Mystic Revelation of Teppo Repo will release an album entitled "Ikivihreät", containing well-known tunes from folk songs to home country songs. On the album, the band interprets classics such as Unohtumaton ilta, Uralin Pihlaja and Satumaa tango with their own unique style and instrumentation.

Doors open at 6.45 p.m. See concert details.
