By selecting a degree programme you are able to see the general content as well as the possible degree programme-specific content. You do not have to select a degree programme to see the Open University's instructions.

All first-cycle degrees at the University of Helsinki include a period of career studies (5 credits), which refers to a traineeship or a career-related project. All second-cycle degrees include career orientation and career planning. Instructions for traineeship

You can choose between two traineeship courses A) EDUM034 Orientation to working life5 cr  (note there is no financial subsidy for the 5 credit traineeship). or B) EDUMCE33 Traineeship 10 cr (Please read the criterias of subsidy). You cannot include both traineeship courses in your degree.

Registration to the course:
Please note: registration is possible as the first period starts in autumn.  Registration to the course is done at Sisu-system. 

NB! Neither of these optional traineeship courses can replace the compulsory course EDUMCE09 Professional Identity in Changing Education. EDUMCE09 is compulsory even if you do a traineeship.
