By selecting a degree programme you are able to see the general content as well as the possible degree programme-specific content. You do not have to select a degree programme to see the Open University's instructions.

All first-cycle degrees at the University of Helsinki include a period of career studies (5 credits), which refers to a traineeship or a career-related project. All second-cycle degrees include career orientation and career planning. You can choose between two traineeship courses A) EDUM034 Orientation to working life5 cr  (note there is no financial subsidy for the 5 credit traineeship). or B) EDUMCE33 Traineeship 10 cr (Please read the criterias of subsidy). You cannot include both traineeship courses in your degree.

Registration to the course:
Please note: registration is possible as the first period starts in autumn.  Registration to the course is done at Sisu-system. 

NB! Neither of these optional traineeship courses can replace the compulsory course EDUMCE09 Professional Identity in Changing Education. EDUMCE09 is compulsory even if you do a traineeship.
