Registration now open for the graduation ceremony of Faculty of Arts

Dear newly graduated or student about to graduate during the autumn term 2024 you are warmly welcome to attend the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Arts on Monday the 16.12.2024 16.00. The ceremony takes place in the Great Hall of Helsinki University main building (Unioninkatu 34, 2nd floor).  

The event takes place at 16.00 - 17.00 in the Festive Hall of the University Main Building (Unioninkatu 34 / Aleksanterinkatu 5). To participate in the graduation ceremony you have to register in advance. 

Register for the graduation ceremony via the registration form. Registration for the graduation ceremony closes on 2.12.2024.

Graduates can book a portrait photography session at their own expense. You can check the price list and book timeslots in advance via the registration form. 

The program includes speeches by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, a recent graduate and a University alumni as well as a music performance. The evening closes with a glass of sparkling wine. Diplomas are not distributed at the ceremony. Each graduate can invite a maximum of three (3) guests. 

Please note! You can register for and participate in the the graduation ceremony if you have completed all your studies before the end of the spring term, even though you are still waiting for them to be registered in Sisu and therefore have not been able to hand in your Graduation request yet.
