Join the International Assembly on 28 November to celebrate the University's international community!
Life in Finland can feel hard at times. We all have our stories of challenges when it comes to settling in as students or staff. But we also have stories of hope and resilience, where we are coming together to take action and improve the opportunities for internationals and Finnish people in Finland.
The International Assembly will be a night of story telling, debate, celebration and forward thinking.
- We will hear stories told by international voices about our hopes and challenges in Finland.
- We will put our concerns and questions towards the Minister for Science and Culture, Sari Multala, in a Q&A session.
- We will celebrate the work of HYY's International Committee (IC) and the University of Helsinki's International Staff Network, who are giving internationals a voice in our community.
- And we'll discuss the issues that matter most to the international community, which IC will use to guide its plans in 2025
Most importantly it will be a rare chance for international students and staff to gather in the same room and feel like we are speaking with one voice. All in the beautiful surroundings of Think Corner.
Attendance is free! You do not need a ticket. However, we are asking you to fill in the form to RSVP, so we can get an idea of numbers and send you updates. You can also submit a question to the Minister via the form.
The event will be held in English.
When: Thursday 28 November, 17.00-19.00
Where: Think Corner, Yliopistonkatu 4, 00100 Helsinki
