Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Social Sciences

The Faculty of Social Sciences is holding a graduation ceremony at 4 p.m. on Tuesday 17 June 2025 at the University Main Building’s Great Hall (Unioninkatu 34). 
   
All bachelors, masters, licentiates and doctors graduating during the spring term, as well as their friends and family are welcome to attend the ceremony. The thesis and the Sisu graduation request should be submitted latest on the day of the ceremony. The program will include speeches, musical performances and some sparkling wine. In addition, graduates will receive personal floral tributes to congratulate them on their graduation. You can read more about the event in the Instructions for students: Graduation.

Graduates have the opportunity to have an official photograph taken at the event. Time slots can be booked in advance through this link.

Upon your graduation, you become a member of the University of Helsinki alumni community. If you wish to receive an alumni badge, you can fetch one during the sparkling wine service.
