All programmes are reviewed on an ongoing basis to meet the highest national and global quality standards.  Aarhus is one of the safest cities in the world, while Denmark is widely cited as one of the world’s most livable places. It has the world’s highest level of income equality according to the OECD. Based on the Corruption Transparency Index, Denmark is the least corrupt country in the world. AU is consistently ranked as one of the world’s top universities. It was ranked number 78 in the current Shanghai ranking and among the world’s hundred best universities in 17 out of 42 subjects in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject. The university offers more than 1,000 courses taught in English each year within the areas of Arts, Science and Technology, Health Sciences, and Business and Social Sciences both at Bachelor’s and Master’s level."

Aalborg university (university-level)

General description

"At Aalborg University (AAU) we believe that knowledge can and shall change the world. AAU was founded in 1974 and offers education and research within the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, technical and health sciences. Approx. 18,000 students are enrolled at AAU. The majority at the main campus in Aalborg (AAL) and approx 400 in Esbjerg (ESB) and approx. 2,700 in Copenhagen (CPH).

AAU AAL: Main campus with all Faculties represented.
AAU CPH: Focus on building relationships between students and business with several private businesses having their offices in the same building as the students.
AAU ESB: Situated on the west coats, and is part of “World Energy Cities Partnership” with a great appearance of natural resources as wind and wave energy.

An important part of AAU is the PBL (Problem-Based Learning) model. AAU partners with companies and public institutions with whom AAU students work closely together to solve real life issues.
The students will conduct a problembased project report in groups, based on the PBL model. The model focusses on giving the student the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills independently, by working analytically and interdisciplinary towards a result that can be used in the ‘real world’."

Roskilde Universitet (university-level)

General description  

Roskilde University offers student a different experience. Roskilde is strong in Social Science, Communication Studies, Environmental Science and Computer Science. The university is founded in 1972 with objective of setting new standards in educational principles, by breaking with traditional university practices and embracing student involvement. We are research driven with a strong link between research and teaching. Characteristic educational principles are interdisciplinarity, problem based approach and groupwork that provide students with strong interdisciplinary competences and teamwork skills.

Restrictions 

It's not possible to study Journalism with this agreement. Exchange students should mainly choose their courses within the agreed field of study. Whether or not they are allowed to take courses within other fields depends on their academic background and course availability.

What can you study here?

Roskilde has made semester packages for incoming exchange students for all English taught programmes. They will always be available for an academic year at our website. Spring semester will be similar to next Spring semester – Autumn semester will be similar to next Autumn semester.

"University of Copenhagen (UCPH) welcomes more than 700 exchange students each semester. UCPH has a wide range of courses taught in English, so exchange students will always be able to find something interesting to study. UCPH's campuses are located in the city - making it quick and easy for students to get around (especially by bike or public transport). UCPH is particularly strong within science fields, including health and medical sciences."

University of Greenland (Ilisimatusarfik) is for students seeking for adventures! Greenland is getting more international year after year and they are increasing their amount of courses offered in English.

Restrictions 

University of Greenland offers only some courses in English. The language of instruction in general is Danish.

Finding housing has been problematic as the number of international guest students is rising and tourism has increased.
