Information seeking and management for thesis writers
This online course is designed for students about to start working on their bachelor's or master's thesis. Participate in this online course whenever and wherever it fits into your schedule. The course is open until the end of the academic year. Students at the University of Helsinki register for the course in Sisu with the code LIB-200. See more information on the course page.

Guidance on information seeking
Have you already taken courses at the library but still need more help with how to find sources? The degree students at the University of Helsinki have the opportunity for guidance on information seeking.

Information seeking drop-in sessions
Drop-in sessions are short sessions about different information seeking and library topics. The Information seeking drop-in sessions are held in mostly Finnish. You do not need to register to them in advance.

The Library Virtual Escape Game
You’re about to embark on a magical journey, during which you’ll need to solve library-related problems online. The game is available in Finnish, Swedish and English.

Are you looking for library courses and events in English? The Helsinki University Library regularly organizes courses on information seeking and reference management. Most of the courses are in Finnish but some courses are in English or Swedish as well. Students and staff at the University of Helsinki may participate in the courses free of charge. The courses can be taken free of charge by all students at the University of Helsinki, including Open University students. The webinars are free of charge for everyone.
