A student lunch restaurant, and in the evenings a bar – Myöhä turns three in December

Myöhä Café & Bar in the Kaivopiha shopping arcade in central Helsinki is a standout in the UniCafe restaurant family. Student lunches are served by day, and later it transforms into a bar that’s open until the small hours.

The newest addition to the UniCafe restaurant chain, Myöhä turns three on Sunday, 7 December 2025. The birthday celebrations will take place throughout that same week, from Monday to Friday. Freshly brewed coffee will be flowing, and both lunch and evening customers can look forward to some special birthday treats.

Myöhä’s lunch menu features delicious bowls and a vegan comfort-food dish of the day, like a Beyond Meat burger with fries or a spicy hot dog, alongside other daily changing lunch options.

After lunchtime, the restaurant is for over-18s only, serving affordable draft drinks at student prices. Myöhä’s food and drink selection is entirely vegan, and also includes excellent non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages.

At Myöhä, detention is fun!

Myöhä means late, and at school, being late can mean detention.

But not to worry: instead of disciplinary measures, Myöhä offers drinks and snacks at discount prices: a drink and a snack of your choice for €8 (or €6 with a non-alcoholic drink). On the list are beer, cider, long drink, soft drink or a Jaffa Booster. The snack options are fries, cauliflower wings or onion rings.

You can join “detention” every week from Tuesday to Saturday between 4 pm and 7 pm.

Belt it out at karaoke or show your skills at table football!

In addition to food and drinks, Myöhä also offers a variety of activities.

There is a wide range of board games as well as table football – and to crown the evening, karaoke. Myöhä’s karaoke is self-service, and you can easily request songs on your phone browser. Choose your favourites from over 14,500 Finnish and 50,000 international songs, and let yourself get carried away!
