Bulletin 17.2.2026

The EDUFI traineeship programme, coordinated by the Finnish National Agency for Education, offers higher education students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain international expertise and work experience, as well as to develop their professional skills. A wide range of interesting traineeship positions are available for students from various fields around the world.

Please note that the criteria set by the Finnish National Agency for Education include Finnish citizenship or permanent residence in Finland. This, unfortunately, means that if you are in Finland with a temporary residence permit, you are not eligible for an EDUFI traineeship position. Most placements also require knowledge of Finnish.

The spring 2026 application round will take place from 24 February to 10 March 2026. The online application form will open at the start of the application period and close on the final day at 16:15 (Finnish time).

The spring round includes traineeship positions at Finnish diplomatic missions, cultural and academic institutes, as well as teaching internships at Finnish language and culture departments abroad.

More information and application instructions can be found on the Finnish National Agency for Education’s website.

If you have any questions about the application process, please contact the Finnish National Agency for Education directly: edufi-harjoittelu@oph.fi
