Last Days Left to Apply to the Pathways Programme!
This is the last week left to apply to Pathways, our two-month entrepreneurship programme at the University of Helsinki running from 21 March to 4 June, 2026.
The programme is mainly for University of Helsinki students, researchers, staff, and alumni, but we also welcome participants from across the Helsinki metropolitan area. By bringing together people from different fields and backgrounds, Pathways creates space for unexpected conversations, ideas, and collaborations.
Throughout the programme, participants get hands-on guidance and practical tools to explore entrepreneurship. You don’t need to have everything figured out before joining.
Some applicants come with a clear idea, but an idea isn’t required. Maybe you’ve noticed a problem you’d like to work on, or you’re wondering if your research could become something more tangible. What matters most is curiosity and an openness to try something new.
You can apply on your own, though applying with a friend is encouraged, ideas often grow more easily when they’re shared.
Earn ECTS credits:
Bachelor’s and Master’s students, as well as Doctoral Researchers, can earn 5 ECTS credits (course code PHD-312) by completing the programme. It’s a great way to gain practical experience for your CV while earning credits toward your degree.
Entrepreneurship shouldn’t only be for people with big networks or special connections. Through Pathways, we want to make this path more accessible and give you the chance to explore whether it might be something for you. Helsinki (and the wider community) needs more people willing to take initiative and work on the challenges they care about.
Athanasios Christopoulos, a University of Helsinki MA student who joined one of the previous Pathways batches, shared that the best way to tackle the world’s problems is to take action yourself.
