Kallio merenrannalla Porkkalassa.
Bulletin 12.3.2026

Stones and bedrock offer a window into the past. Where in Finland have there been volcanoes? What do the traces of the Ice Age look like? Where might a keen-eyed nature enthusiast find fossils? Join researchers on a journey billions of years into the past and learn what rocks can reveal.

Yle’s nature journalist Minna Pyykkö will speak with geologists Elina Lehtonen and Arto Luttinen and palaeontologist Mikko Haaramo from the University of Helsinki. The audience will also have a chance to ask questions and take part in a fun quiz.

Join us at Think Corner on Wednesday, March 25th, from 5:50 PM to 8 PM, or follow the live stream.

Street address: Think Corner, Yliopistonkatu 4, Helsinki. The discussion will be held in Finnish.
