Bulletin 8.4.2026

We want to welcome participants from universities, NGOs, industry, and policymakers to join us to play an interactive, scenario-based experience designed to build futures literacy and solve future sustainability challenges.

During our workshops, you will learn practical skills to make sustainable decisions in uncertain, rapidly changing environments using futures literacy skills. Through a serious-game format, participants from business, public sector, academia, and civil society collaborate in small teams to tackle real-world challenges and co-create a District Resilience Compact. This is a concrete, solution-focused proposal that balances sustainability, equity, and feasibility.

The workshop series includes two workshops offering a unique opportunity to test ideas, challenge assumptions, and design resilient pathways for the future of Helsinki.

  • In-person: Wed 22 April, 12-14:00 EET at Room 2072 in the Main Building, Center Kampus (Fabianinkatu 33)
  • Online (Zoom): 29 April, 12-14:00 EET

Call to action (by 20 April): Sign up using the e-lomake! Participation is free of charge!

We are also planning a follow-up series in collaboration with The Science Basement, where participants will have the opportunity to develop public communication skills; tentative dates are 6 May (online), 11 May (coaching session) and 13 May (Afternoon n the Science Basement, at Oodi library/hybrid).
