Bulletin 2.9.2026

The digital archive of Voprosy Istorii, Russia’s foremost historical research journal, spans the years 1926–2025 and can now be accessed in both Russian and English. The AI-powered translation tool, English Reader, is an add-on service available to National Library of Finland customers on a trial basis until 30 September 2026. If you would like it added permanently to our offerings, please send us an acquisition proposal.

During the English Reader trial period, customers can search for and read Voprosy Istorii archive articles in English, moving easily between the English translations and the original Russian-language versions.

The National Library has long subscribed to the Voprosy Istorii digital archive for customer use. The translation tool is a new addition, offering easy access to material relevant to Russian and Soviet historical research, even for those not proficient in Russian.

If you would like the translation tool added permanently to our offerings, please send us an acquisition proposal. Complete our acquisition proposal form, selecting ‘Database’ as the content type.
