A child's inherited genes, together with their upbringing, shape the course of life in many ways. How do heredity, environmental factors and lifestyle affect health and behaviour? Follow the discussion at Think Corner on Tuesday, September 22nd, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM.

Who is more likely to develop cancer or mental health problems, and who is more prone to criminal behaviour? New research shows with growing precision how heredity, environment and lifestyle contribute to disease and behaviour, and how these effects can carry over to the next generation. This knowledge helps identify risks and prevent health problems.

The discussion features Professor of Biometry and Director of the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland Samuli Ripatti, Docent in Epigenetics Miina Ollikainen, and Professor of Criminology Antti Latvala, all from the University of Helsinki. The researchers will be interviewed by Alma Onali.
