Order a certificate of student status

By selecting a degree programme you are able to see the general content as well as the possible degree programme-specific content. You do not have to select a degree programme to see the Open University's instructions.

With a certificate of student status you can prove that you are a student at the University of Helsinki. The certificate of student status contains information about your study rights  at the University of Helsinki and the status of them. As a degree student you can also prove your attendance or non-attendance with the certificate of student status, if your student card or transcript of records is not considered sufficient. You can obtain the certificate in Finnish, Swedish or English.

There are two different options for obtaining an electronically verified certificate of student status:

  • If your university user account is valid, the quickest and easiest way is to download the certificate of student status from Sisu. For more information, see Sisu instructions.
  • Alternatively, you can order a certificate using the student services e-form. The certificate will be delivered to you by email.

If you need a hard copy of the certificate of student status, you can order it from Kaisa House Student Advice. It will be sent to you by post. You can also obtain it from Kaisa House Student Advice service desk during the service hours. We will print it for you while waiting.
