Sisu instructions: Study plan for exchange students

By selecting a degree programme you are able to see the general content as well as the possible degree programme-specific content. You do not have to select a degree programme to see the Open University's instructions.

More information about planning and completing your exchange studies at the University of Helsinki is under the theme For Exchange and Visiting Students.

Creating a study plan for exchange studies

  1. Check your Learning Agreement to see the studies for which you have been given the study right. Then check Where Can I Find Courses? from the Instructions for Students page to see when the courses in your plan are available. If necessary, you can select alternative courses, which you can search for on the same page. Remember to take into account the possible limitations when selecting alternative courses.
  2. Go to the Structure of Studies page and click the Create a New Study Plan button. Select the programme and curriculum period, and create the plan. Kuvakaappaus Sisun käyttöliittymästä.
  3. Open the selection assistant by clicking the bottom heading row in your study plan.

  4. The selection assistant has two search fields for adding studies to the plan. Use the top field to add courses from your Learning Agreement.

  5. Once you have added to your study plan all the studies you are allowed to complete, you can complete the selections related to the study courses and register as normal. More detailed and illustrated instructions for registration are available here.
