Career Day events on January 19 and 23: support for job search on campus and virtually!
Are you looking for a traineeship or a summer job? Career Services organise the two-day HelsinkiUNI Career Day event in January. On both days, you will be offered a complete package of sessions to support your job search and an opportunity to meet companies and organisations that offer summer jobs and traineeships.
Time: Monday 19.1.2026 and Friday 23.1.2026
Place: Monday in the City Center Campus, Friday virtually
HelsinkiUNI Career Day - Campus Day on Monday 19.1.
Time: January 19, 2026, at 9.00 - 17.30
Event Locations: Porthania (Yliopistonkatu 3), lobby, rooms P III, Suomen Laki, P114 (Urbarium), and P219 (Lehtisali/Teachers Lounge), and the University Main Building (Fabianinkatu 33) Studium 1.
During the day, you can meet employers who are interested in University of Helsinki students, learn about finding a job in Finland, get information about Akava's Start to Finnish online course and talk about your PhD with peers. You can also book a time for the CV/LinkedIn clinic, where HR experts from companies provide personal feedback. Finally, you will get real-world career advice from our university's alumni.
The following employers participating on Monday are also hiring non-Finnish speakers: Alma Media, Ericsson, European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), City of Helsinki, University of Helsinki, Nokia, OP Pohjola, Metsä Group and Nordea. Other exhibitors: Helsinki Think Company and Career Services (University of Helsinki).

HelsinkiUNI Career Day - Virtual Day on Friday 23.1.
Time: January 23, 2026, from 09.00 to 14.00
Location: Zoom/Teams
During the virtual day, you will have the opportunity to learn how to find a job in Finland, get information about career opportunities in Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) and University of Helsinki, and hear about Akava's Start to Finnish online course. You can also book an appointment with Luke for a one-to-one meeting. The event offers a flexible way to receive up-to-date information and discover new directions for your studies and career – all conveniently from your own device.
The following employers participating on Friday are also hiring non-Finnish speakers: Metsä Group, Natural Resources Institute Finland and University of Helsinki.

Registration for the employer and alumni events will open during the December and January.
You can choose to participate in both days' programmes or just in individual sessions - each session have their own registration. The event is open to all students and recent graduates of the University of Helsinki. More information about the event will be published on the JobTeaser portal and the Studies Service during December and January.
