Bulletin 19.2.2026

Did you know that a fifth of university students experience loneliness quite often or constantly, and as many as half experience this specifically at their educational institutions? (KOTT, 2024; Korkeakouluopiskelijoiden yksinäisyyskysely, 2024)

HelsinkiMissio offers effective and free-of-charge individual support for loneliness nationwide in Finnish, Swedish and English.

The loneliness programme is suitable for anyone over the age of 18 who experiences loneliness and is curious to explore their thoughts related to loneliness and how they connect to feelings and behaviour. The goal is to gain an understanding of your experience and to find a path for reducing feelings of loneliness. The program includes five meetings with a professional and an independent workbook process in between meetings. Meetings are held either at HelsinkiMissio’s premises in Helsinki or remotely via videocalls.
