New European exchange destination pages will be published soon – check out how to prepare for the application
Find your exchange destination more easily than ever! On 19 December at 12:00 we will publish the new Europe exchange destination pages, which clearly compile exchange opportunities by country and help you find the exchange destinations that best suit you. When you log in to the Studies-service (studies.helsinki.fi), the Europe Exchange Destinations page shows at a glance all your faculty’s exchange agreements listed by country. When you select a country that interests you, you will see all the universities you can apply to. The destination pages now state more clearly, for example, which fields of study are available at each university.
We encourage you to explore the destinations at your own pace during the Christmas break. When you have options in mind in advance, applying is smoother. The application round for Europeam exchange destinations for the academic year 2026–2027 opens on 2 February 2026.
Tip: Make a short “top 4” list of interesting destinations and check language requirements and course offerings in advance.
All selected exchange students receive a grant of approximately €500 per month as well as a travel subsidy (except to Switzerland). The amount of the travel subsidy depends on distance.
We are happy to help if you would like to discuss destination choices or the application process. Welcome to our events at the start of the year:
