New! Remember to register for the thesis in Sisu as of 1 August 2025!

As of 1 August 2025, both bachelor’s and master’s students of the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences must register in Sisu for the implementation of their thesis (i.e., for the course) before submitting their thesis for assessment and preservation in E-thesis. All students also have to register for the maturity test in Sisu before submitting the thesis for assessment.

Master’s theses have already been assessed in E-thesis, but no registration has yet been required for the "course". As of 1 August 2025 also bachelor’s theses will be assessed in E-thesis.

As a result of the reform:

• The thesis grade will be transferred directly from E-thesis to Sisu.
• Also bachelor’s theses are stored in Helda via E-thesis, and theses can be found and read.
• Students can publish their theses openly if they so wish.
