If you are studying in the above-mentioned specialisation programmes to which the registration applies, ensure you register for each academic year during the annual registration period.
When you receive the right to study through student selection for any of these programmes and accept the granted right to study, you will be automatically registered as present at the university for the first academic year or spring semester if the right to study begins on January 1. In the Sisu study information system, your study right status is active–present.
In the following academic years, you must register for the academic year yourself. Only as a present student can you complete studies organized by the university.
- Registration is done in OILI during the registration period (April 1–August 31)
Making the annual registration is important to keep your user account valid. Remember that your study right status must be active–present when you graduate.
If you did not register during the registration period, contact Student Services by email at studentinfo@helsinki.fi. Include your name, student number or date of birth, and study programme in the message.
The student union membership fee and the re-registration fee for missed registration do not apply to students in specialization programs unless the student also has a valid right to complete a basic or doctoral degree at the university. Note! An exception is students completing a degree in specialised veterinary education, for whom the re-registration fee applies.
