Tips for JobTeaser:
- The portal operates across Europe. You can find positions posted through the shared site of Finnish universities by selecting “targeted jobs” in the filters.
- Regions: Finnish regions do not work as search terms. To find positions in the Helsinki metropolitan area, search by the city Helsinki and set the distance in the next field to +50 km. (The regional search engine is not ideal, and a new solution is being explored.)
- You can choose different search criteria and save one search. You will receive an email notification if any positions matching your criteria were published in the service the previous day.
- You can decide whether you want to be visible to employers.
- If you wish to continue using the service after graduation, remember to change your email address before your helsinki.fi account stops working.
- Learn more about JobTeaser on the Instructions page and log in with your helsinki.fi credentials today! If you have any questions, please contact: careerservices@helsinki.fi.

Job search tips
Note that in the current job market, it’s important not to rely solely on open job postings but to proactively approach employers you’re genuinely interested in. International students can make a strong impression by using a focused, value‑driven message: emphasize concrete skills, show real interest in the company, and clearly explain how you can contribute. Tailor each application, reach out directly to hiring managers for example on LinkedIn. Even in a competitive situation, employers appreciate candidates who communicate confidently, follow up politely, and demonstrate motivation.
