Europe

The most popular European student exchange programme is Erasmus. The Nordplus programme also offers exchange opportunities in Nordic and Baltic countries. See Instructions for students for more information.

Middle East and Africa

Exchange opportunities are available at top-level universities in the Middle East and Africa in countries such as Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Namibia, Zambia and South Africa.

Asia

You can complete exchange studies at some of the top universities in Asia, for example, in Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore. Proficiency in the language of the target country is not always required because you can study in English at many of the Asian destinations.

You can complete a wide range of exchange studies in Canada and the United States. The University of Helsinki currently has approximately 40 destinations in North America.
