Bulletin 17.9.2024

All students are familiar with Sisu – In Sisu you can plan your studies, register for courses, and when the time comes, submit your request for graduation. A direct link to Sisu is always available in the top menu of the Studies Service.

We hope you know that support and advice for using Sisu is always available when you need it. Here's a recap of recent updates to Sisu as well as available Sisu user instructions and advice services:

Recent changes in Sisu

Small changes are constantly introduced to improve Sisu's functionalities. From the student's point of view, the most important changes made during the previous term are:

  • Using an old version of a course unit is the most common reason why you don't see teaching under the course unit or your registration is rejected. From now on, you will see a notice under the name of your study plan if the plan includes course units from previous academic year. Through the notice, you can also update your course units to the latest versions.
  • You can choose the method of completion for the course unit directly in your study plan. The selection window does not show available teaching, so you should still check offerings from the course brochure or through the Studies Service course search. Always add the course unit to your study plan before registering.
  • In the past, an incorrect application often had to be completely redone. During the spring, the staff at the student services received new tools for processing applications, reducing the need to submit a new application if there is an error in your original application or a correction needs to be made to your decision/grading.

Sisu user instructions

All technical instructions for using Sisu are available in the Studies Service under the theme User instructions for Sisu. For example the following Sisu instructions continue to be popular year after year:
