By selecting a degree programme you are able to see the general content as well as the possible degree programme-specific content. You do not have to select a degree programme to see the Open University's instructions.

Student advice for Open University students is provided by HelsinkiUni Help. If your questions concern your user account, you can contact the University IT-Helpdesk. For questions about course content, please contact the teacher of the course.

Choose the right service

In addition to HelsinkiUni Help, there are several other University services to support you in different situations – choosing the right service to contact will help you get quicker service:

  • If your question concerns activating your University user account, please contact the university IT-Helpdesk. Check the instructions for activating your account first, and remember to activate your user account in good time before your studies start.
  • If you have questions on the course content or the course’s Moodle area, please contact the teacher of the course. Contact information for the teacher, as well as a link to the course’s Moodle area, are available on your chosen course’s course page. You need an active University user account to log in to Moodle. The Moodle area will open at the latest when the course starts – please wait patiently and, if you wish, check out the Moodle user instructions in advance.
  • If you need individual arrangements to support your studies, please check the instructions and contact the University's accessibility contact persons if needed.
  • With any other questions on available courses, registration, and studying, HelsinkiUni Help is here for you.
