Order a Transcript of Studies

By selecting a degree programme you are able to see the general content as well as the possible degree programme-specific content. You do not have to select a degree programme to see the Open University's instructions.

You need an electronically verified or printed transcript of studies if you are asked to provide official proof of the studies you have completed at the University of Helsinki. You may need to do so, for example, when applying to another higher education institution or in response to an official request. Please contact the recipient to confirm the transcript format required.

Electronically verified transcript of studies

There are two different options for obtaining an electronically verified transcript of studies:

  • If your university user account is valid, the quickest and easiest way is to download the transcript from Sisu. For more information, see Sisu instructions.

  • Alternatively, you can order a transcript using the student services e-form. The transcript will be delivered to you by email.

     

Sharing study information through the My Studyinfo service

Instead of ordering a transcript, you can share information on your studies through the My Studyinfo service. Please note, that the link shared from Studyinfo is not the same thing as the electronically verified transcript of studies, and it might not be accepted, for example, in the student admission process or other official instances. 

My Studyinfo is an official database maintained by the Finnish National Agency for Education, with information encompassing, as a rule, all your higher education studies and study rights as of 1995. The My Studyinfo service enables you to restrict the information on completed studies you wish to share. You can share your information in English, Finnish and Swedish.

Logging in to the My Studyinfo service requires identification with an online banking ID, a mobile certificate or an identity card with a chip. New information on completed studies can be accessed in My Studyinfo with a delay of a few days.

All those who have completed studies at the University of Helsinki can order a printed transcript of studies from the Student Services service points at Kaisa House, Viikki, Kumpula and Meilahti. Contact details for service points.

You can collect the transcript from Student Advice or order it to be delivered by post.

 

Ordering a transcript of studies to be sent by mail

If you would like to receive the transcript by mail, send the request via email to studentinfo@helsinki.fi or to Student Services via mail.

Your order should include

  • Your name
  • Your student number
  • Delivery address
  • The language of the transcript (Finnish, Swedish, English)
  • The number of transcripts you require
  • An indication of whether the transcript must be delivered in a sealed envelope (necessary if you intend to send the transcript abroad)

 

If a representative retrieves the transcript on your behalf, they must present a letter of authorisation.
