Expanded range of language and communication courses for UH students

NEW: Complete language and communication studies at any higher education institution in the capital region.  

KiViTa, or collaboration in language and communication teaching in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, offers courses in languages and communication, which can be taken by anyone studying or working at the higher education institutions of the region. The versatile range of courses focuses particularly on Finnish and Swedish, multilingual academic and professional communication, and less frequently taught languages. The courses are primarily organised flexibly as remote and web-based studies. The University of Helsinki also offers an abundance of courses for both its own students and students at other higher education institutions in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. A broad selection of other language courses will again begin at the Language Centre in the third teaching period. Registration will run from 11 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.

Advanced English: Business Communication (KK-ENG402, CEFR B2, 2 cr)

Advanced English: Craft of Creative Writing (KK-ENG509, CEFR C1, 3 cr) 

Advanced English: Academic Discussion (KK-ENG511, CEFR C1, 2 cr)

Swedish: 

The Bilingual Course (Swedish–Finnish) in Oral Skills (KK-RUO202, CEFR A2, 2 cr) begins in the third teaching period at CEFR A2 and CEFR B2 level (KK-RUO417, CEFR B2, 2 cr)

You can also begin studying Swedish from the elementary level: Swedish for Beginners 1 (KK-RUO001, CEFR A1, 3 cr, contact teaching).
