Plenty of language and communication courses available in second teaching period

A wide range of both optional and compulsory courses will commence at the Language Centre in the second teaching period. You may continue with an intermediate course in a language you’ve studied previously or start learning a language from scratch. Explore the full range online and find the option that suits you best.

Register for our courses and exams through Sisu. Registration for courses in the second teaching period is now open and will conclude on 19 October 2025.

English courses beginning in the second teaching period include Academic and Professional Communication in English, offered as blended ALMS courses

 Also available are advanced courses in both remote and contact teaching formats:

NEW: A 10-credit pilot course in English will commence for students majoring in theology:

  • Language and communication studies in the Bachelor’s Programme in Theology and Religious Studies (KK-ENTEOL, 10 cr, teaching periods III–IV, blended teaching). This course is for you if you major in theology and have not yet completed the language and communication studies required for your degree. In spring 2026 the Language Centre’s multilingual pilot course offers a way to complete the full 10-credit language and communication requirement for the bachelor’s degree in one go. Additional information can be found on the course page; you may also reach out to the course teachers, whose contact details are available on the course page. Please note that although the course starts in the third teaching period, you must register for it during the second period’s registration period, using (during the pilot stage) the code KK-ENTEOL. Make sure you choose the correct completion method.
